ProKASRO Christmas Letter 4/2016

Published July 2017

Dear customers, partners, and friends of ProKASRO,

In this, our last newsletter of the year, we have compiled some interesting news for you and give an insight into the past fiscal year 2016.

***Changes in our personnel structure***

With today’s ProKASRO News, we would like to inform you that Mr. Markus Lämmerhirt has decided to leave ProKASRO Mechatronik GmbH. Mr. Lämmerhirt will however continue to support the company as a colleague.

Furthermore, we are pleased to announce that we have secured our former colleague, Mr. Steffen Roll, once again for ProKASRO Mechatronik GmbH. As of 01/02/2017, he will be joining our Service Centre and provid-ing valuable support with his many years of experience in the sewerage industry. We are, therefore, compe-tently equipped for the coming challenges in the fastest growing segment of our company!

***Honors at the UKSTT Awards***

Newsletter 04 2016 1

Every year, the United Kingdom Society for Trenchless Technology (UKSTT) holds their annual dinner dance and awards presentation. This year, Pro-KASRO, together with our partner contractor Wessex Water, submitted a project for inclusion in the “small scheme” awards category. The project used our innovative 2K injection system to seal and reform a damaged lateral connection beneath a row of terraced houses in Bristol UK. The alternative solution would have been a traditional open cut repair but this would have meant demolishing the extensions on two houses due to the location of the damage. The repair was carried out in just one day at a cost saving in excess of £60,000.00. Whilst the project unfortunately did not win the category award, it was “highly commended” by the independent judging panel and certificates were awarded to both ProKASRO and Wessex Water to reflect this.

***ProKASRO - still in the fast lane***

ProKASRO Mechatronik GmbH looks back proudly at the very successful fiscal year 2016. The powerful KASRO electronic robot 1.7 and 4.0, as well as the top selling KASRO UV-CCU, delivered record sales figures this year. We expect continued strong demand in the near future as the need for KASRO UV and electronic systems remains high worldwide. As of today, over 30 KASRO UV-CCUs and 170 KASRO electronic robots have been sold with an increasing trend. We look positively forward to the New Year 2017!

***Motorcycle tour 2016***

At ProKASRO, we have a 16-year tradition of organising a very popular motorcycle tour either in the south of France or in the USA. This year was no exception with tours in Le Castellet on the Côte d’Azur and in Phoe-nix, Arizona. The atmosphere was relaxed and lively. Pictures speak a thousand words:

***Social commitment throughout the year***

ProKASRO is committed to social issues. Since last year, we have stopped giving corporate gifts and Christ-mas cards to our customers. Instead, we invest the money in a more meaningful way by donating through-out the year to the Humedica International Relief Organisation (www.humedica.org). The money goes into their family sponsorship program. ProKASRO has sponsored the Jovencio Antipolo family in Hernani in the Philippines who were severely affected by typhoon Haiyan in November, 2013. Their house was completely demolished. The family luckily escaped injury during the catastrophe. With our contribution, we have been able to support the family in rebuilding their lives. The children get access to education, the adults receive aid in establishing small businesses. Even when there is a lack of food, medicine or personal hygiene articles, Humedica is able to provide the family with everything they need.

We also sponsor the Rajen Danuwar family in Bhimtar, Nepal. In April, 2015, Nepal was shaken by a 7.8 magnitude earthquake which caused severe damage especially in the country’s interior. Sindhupalchok was one of the hardest hit areas. Many Nepalese lost their lives, houses were destroyed and schools were dam-aged. The water sources are either contaminated or dried up. The Danuwar family lost their home in the ca-tastrophe. The grandfather and the daughter, Sujana, were injured. Meanwhile, both have recovered from their injuries and are doing well. With our contribution, we want to help this family get back on their feet again.

The sponsorship is planned for approximately 3 years. After this time, the family should be able to provide for themselves. The program is dedicated to aiding in self-help in the difficult phase following a catastrophe.
